The airport desk is located in the arrivals hall and is available for customers with a reservation. If you are arriving by domestic flight, simply come to the Höldur rental desk after collecting your luggage and our team will help you with your rental.

The Reykjavík Domestic Airport and Njarðargata locations are next to each other, so there is no shuttle transfer required between the airport and our downtown rental office.

Picking Up Your Rental Car

If you are collecting your rental car at Reykjavík Domestic Airport, make sure you have your reservation details ready when you arrive.

If you are collecting your car from our Njarðargata office, simply make your way to the location at Fluggarðar skýli 23. Our team will complete the rental process and direct you to your vehicle.

To help make your pickup as smooth as possible, have the following with you:

  • Your rental reservation details
  • A valid driving licence
  • A valid credit card
  • Any other documents required for your rental

Before leaving, check the vehicle and make sure any existing damage is recorded on your rental agreement.

Returning Your Rental Car

Rental cars should be returned to our Reykjavík Downtown location on Njarðargata.

During opening hours, our team can assist with the return and inspect the vehicle with you. If you need to return your car outside opening hours, you can use the key deposit box at the location.

Please remember to:

  • Refuel or recharge your vehicle
  • Remove all personal belongings
  • Check the vehicle for any new damage
  • Return the keys using the designated key deposit box if the office is closed

When returning your vehicle outside opening hours, the vehicle remains your responsibility until it has been inspected by our staff.

If you are arriving at Reykjavík Domestic Airport, the rental desk is located in the arrivals hall. If you are coming from central Reykjavík, our Njarðargata office is just next to the airport.
